Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the relationship between organizational commitment, career development, and employee performance within the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Office of Sikka Regency. The study aimed to describe the level of employee performance, organizational commitment, and career development, as well as to analyze the extent to which organizational commitment and career development influence employee performance, both individually and simultaneously. The population consisted of 35 employees, and due to the relatively small number, the research employed a saturated sampling or census approach, ensuring that all employees were included. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, and the analysis applied descriptive methods combined with inferential statistics through multiple linear regression. Hypothesis testing was conducted using both F-tests and t-tests to determine the significance of the relationships among the variables. The descriptive findings revealed that employee performance, organizational commitment, and career development were generally categorized as good. The results of the t-test indicated that organizational commitment alone had a significant positive effect on employee performance, while the F-test showed that organizational commitment and career development together also had a significant positive impact. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination analysis demonstrated that the two independent variables were able to explain 28.4% of the variation in employee performance at the BPBD Office of Sikka Regency.
